The blue truck SOLD today! YAY! What a praise! Karl flies out 4am-ish to go get our NEW truck.
It is the king ranch edition – 2008 with navigation and a dvd player for the kids. It is built to haul, with built in drawers and cut bed for turning radius. It is also a dually so it can handle our beast of a home. Karl is staying with my mom’s cousin in Austin while there… super happy about that! We’re very excited!

Please pray that our Blue Truck sells. It isn’t the right one for our needs – too dark inside to “live in” for a year. Please pray it sells for the price we need for it to be able to purchase the right truck. Please pray for us to FIND the right truck. Thank you!!
by Theflyingks with No CommentsMy God is SO big. After months of prayer, I threw this request out to friends and family… and what do I get? ANSWERED PRAYER! We got it! Our new home is a Cyclone 2007 3795. That is a 38 ft. cyclone with all that we needed (sans the dinette – it has a booth, and the slide awnings which we will purchase). All of this and we came in 4k under budget AND we only had to drive 5 hours. Just brought her home Monday. Thank you to A Ranch of Light for the use of your stout vehicle “Bertha” to tow our home back. I’m still in awe. I always AM amazed by Him and His wondrous ways no matter how many times He does something beyond my comprehension. No matter how big or small, I get excited and giddy… like a child.
We asked our home pastor of Calvary Chapel of Placerville if they could be our spiritual home and covering while on our journey. Pastor Nick quickly replied, “I thought we were already?” Haha! Love that man. After spending time up at *Camp Calvary and serving, my heart is so burdened for the gospel. My head is swimming with ideas on how we can serve the body of Christ and the lost on our trip. For me, the sights of our country is secondary to our primary motivation for this journey. I know for CERTAIN God called us to this. I know for CERTAIN He is providing each stepping stone along the way. Sometimes the stepping stones only fall into place after we’ve already stepped out – sliding in at that last moment before your foot lands. What we don’t know for CERTAIN is how we will be used by Him. We are ready and willing, He only need ask. I through it out to Pastor that we’d be willing to serve where there is a need in the area we go to. He said he would help us connect with the pastor in the areas we will be going, and honestly whatever the need is we will try to fill. Some things are: Karl setting up a family volleyball night (we will have our net/ball), The girls and I leading worship, babysitting for a night at the church so that families can have a date night with free sitting, yard or house cleanup for a family, etc. But, my heart just keeps going back to this CRAZY idea…
Depending on the legality involved… folding out a blanket in an area where homeless people gather, having a stack of bibles to hand out, a stack of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and some bottled water, and singing worship. Then, just having conversations about Jesus. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27. Essentially the homeless will be our neighbors, will they not?
*Camp Calvary is a free camp for at-risk youth. They range from homeless, children of those incarcerated, foster kids, and children from broken homes. The camp uses horses, ropes, archery and other various camp activities all to reach their little hearts for Jesus. These kids blessed my socks off. Their ability to love beyond their circumstances blew me away. What a privilege to serve alongside brothers and sisters in Christ serving in their giftings. After camp, they get to come and ride horses at A Ranch of Light.
by Theflyingks with No CommentsWe are searching for our Heartland Cyclone. We know what we want:
38-40′
2 Air Conditioners
2 queen slide beds in garage
awnings over slides (we’ll need at least 2 slides)
Queen loft over garage
All the other usual stuff and…
large booth instead of dinette and plumbed for washer dryer would be icing on the cake.
ALL for under $30k and preferably no further away than Texas. It’s a lot to ask, but you just never know!
